Mull Charters operate from Ulva Ferry on Mull’s magical west coast. If you want to get up close and personal with the fourth largest Eagle in the world you have come to the right place. Our Sea Eagle Adventure trip is designed to do just that. Our trips are usually in sheltered waters surrounded by magnificent scenery and stunning wildlife. Our Eagle encounters are a photographers and naturalists dream come true. From the comfort of our boat you can relax while the Eagles come to us and take fish from the water just a few metres away, presenting one of Europe’s best opportunities to photograph these magnificent birds fishing in the wild.

While Eagles are often the main attraction we also see plenty of other wildlife. Great Northern Divers can be found in full breeding plumage in May and Red Throated Divers are regularly seen. Golden Eagles frequent many of the hills around our route and while some distance away are always a thrill to see. Hen Harriers, Peregrines and Buzzards are regulars and at certain times of year Puffins Guillemot and Razorbill are present.

Mammals are also present with frequent sightings of Bottlenose Dolphins, Harbour Porpoise, and Otter. We also visit our local seal colony which is mainly Common Seals but does sometimes include Atlantic Grey as well. Summer time is the best time for Basking Sharks and these leviathans of the sea (second largest fish in the world) can be found grazing plankton along the tide lines further out to sea. Minke Whales, Orca and other whales all pass through the area and while less reliable are always a welcome addition.

We can also take you to the historically important Isle of Inch Kenneth, burial place of kings and once the home to the Mitford family. A stroll around this gem of an island is a pleasure few have managed but with the Scottish Outdoor Access Code we can offer you the chance to experience it for yourself. Our trip does not include access to the house, but you can visit the 15th century chapel and graveyard and marvel at the flora and fauna Inch Kenneth has in abundance, and relax in the tranquil atmosphere and admire the majestic cliffs and mountains of Mull.

We also offer Sea Angling trips for the angler. Most fishing is done on the drift with hard fighting Pollack and Coal fish the main targets, especially good fun on light tackle. Mackerel are abundant and a tasty BBQ delight in summer and autumn. Rod and reel is provided if you don’t have your own and terminal tackle is available on board, as is help and tuition for novices. One of my favourite things is to see a youngsters face light up as they catch their first fish. Conservation is a must on Lady Jayne and all fish which aren’t kept for eating or bait must be carefully returned alive.

Toilet available on board, complimentary tea/coffee on most trips. All photographs were taken aboard lady Jayne. Access to Inch Kenneth is by small boat so some agility required.

Daily wildlife trips and private charters are also available.
