This walk is one of the more challenging walks on Mull and it follows the south coast of the Ardmeanach Peninsula.
The first three quarters is easy hardcore track walking, The views are wonderful, the geology stunning and the area is steeped in history.
A long days walk, the last quarter is rough sheep track with steep slopes each side, climbing down an iron ladder near the end onto a tidal beach and the fossil tree. Consult tided tables. Walk when tide is going out after 'half tide' to 'low tide' is best.
