Mendelssohn On Mull

Mendelssohn on Mull is a Scottish chamber music festival that brings together a small group of young musicians at the start of their careers for an extraordinary week of musical exploration. They’re mentored by highly experienced players of chamber music in a series of workshops and then perform free public concerts in a range of diverse venues in Mull, Iona and Oban including the tiny Creich Church, Duart Castle’s Great Hall and Iona Abbey. The inspiration comes from the wild beauty that drew composer Mendelssohn to this region, and inspired his renowned Hebridean Overture.

Experience the thrill and excitement of a Traditional Highland Games in `a picture postcard setting – The Mull Highland Games is a firm setting on the Scottish Highland Games Circuit and the volunteers that run the games would love to welcome you along for the day!


Mull Music Festival

An annual traditional music event taking place around the pubs and venues in Tobermory and Mull.

Race Details

  • Race open to 15yrs and over, same race for all entrants
  • Cost £20 per solo competitor and £45 for a team entry
  • 400m swim (24 lengths), 10 Mile Cycle and 2.5 Mile Run
  • Entry includes a finisher medal and goodie bag
  • Team can be 2 or 3 competitors
  • Entry on the day
  • Helmets must be worn, no Helmet no race
  • Refreshments & Home baking will be available throughout the event for all (small donation)
  • Prizes for the following
    Under 18 Female
    Under 18 Male
    Team Prize
    Overall Winner – Male
    Overall Winner – Female

10.00 am – 10.45 am Registration at Isle of Mull Hotel Swimming Pool

10.45am – Race Brief ALL Competitors Poolside

11.00am – 1pm Swim Heats

1.15pm Cycle & Run Starts (Staggered Start times)

Mull Cyclosportive

THE UK’S MOST SCENIC SPORTIVE

Why not come and take part in a unique island-based sportive that combines scenic beauty with a challenging ride. We’ll take you along miles of twisting single-track that circle the island, past the wildest, most beautiful coastline you will find on any ride in the UK.

The Isle of Mull Sportive is an entirely volunteer-run event, where you’ll find a warm welcome, good organisation and a fast-growing group of Mull regulars who come back year after year.

This isn’t a closed road event – it hardly needs to be, aside from other cyclists, the main distraction will be the view!

All profits from the event go toward local good causes. We distribute all proceeds to local charities, volunteer organisations, schools, social and environmental projects.
